Psychometric Profiling

Psychometric profiling is the use of psychological models to identify and understand the individual characteristics that motivate a person’s behaviour.

Miro
MiRo ®
Another colour-based system, MiRo uses a simple online questionnaire that assesses people’s behaviour according to four behavioural modes – Red Driving, Yellow Energising, Blue Analysing and Green Organising. Most people are capable of employing all four modes and do so to varying degrees according to different situations. However, we all generally favour one or two modes over the others.

A full MiRo report identifies people’s preferred modes and helps to indicate the advantages and potential pitfalls of their particular make-up. As well as offering tips on communication and how best to deal with people who display other behavioural preferences, MiRo can also help individuals and organisations with issues such as change management, leadership and relationship building.

MBTI
MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE INDICATOR ®
Developed by mother and daughter Katharine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) operates on the premise that people’s behaviour patterns are due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to utilise their perception and judgment. This model uses four pairs of opposing psychological preferences – Extraversion/Introversion, Sensing/Intuition, Thinking/Feeling, Judging/Perceiving – to create 16 different personality and behavioural types.

A person’s Myers-Briggs Type Indicator results helps to shed light on their preferred methods for interpreting information, developing their personal structure of the world, making decisions, and interacting with external factors.

Sean Randell

Sean Randell – the Talent Development Director of Red Door Training – is an experienced practitioner in each of these psychometric profiling tools. He can advise you on the most appropriate model for your particular situation, and is licensed to administer the assessments and help clients understand and make best use of their reports.

This practice dates back to the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung.

Jung's ground-breaking work in defining personality types forged contemporary approaches to identifying people’s behavioural ‘drivers’.

Psychometric profiling is a versatile tool – it can help people to better understand and optimise their behaviour, and it can enable organisations to successfully match specific personality types to particular working environments.

At Red Door Training, we’re accredited to offer three popular psychometric profiling models:

  • Insights Discovery ®
  • MiRo ®
  • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ®

Insights Discovery
INSIGHTS DISCOVERY ®
This tool uses various combinations of four colours – Fiery Red, Cool Blue, Sunshine Yellow and Earth Green – to profile individuals’ strengths and weaknesses, communication styles, approaches to problem solving and their role within teams. Identifying these unique colour combinations can help people understand why they think and act in particular ways, and it can enable them to work more harmoniously and effectively with others.

Candidates undergo a short and simple Insights Discovery online evaluator. This produces a 20-page individual report that details and explains the specific behavioural profile of that person.

Insights Discovery is an ideal profiling tool for individuals and organisations who want to:

  • Understand people’s unique personalities.
  • Develop interpersonal skills and improve communication.
  • Create better personal and professional working relationships.
  • Help teams to recognise and optimise the role of all members.
